Season Three (2011)

The third season of the show consisted of the one-hour special Journey to Monkey King Castle, which aired on sister network Nick Jr. on August 21, 2011. Six months after airing, Nickelodeon had announced that the show had been cancelled, due to a lawsuit filed by former Dora the Explorer star Caitlin Sanchez. The teen actor had stated that the production for Kai-Lan episodes had cost more money that the production for Dora episodes.
